21st century education. For every child.
This photo was taken by the education foundation and ngo for education Parikrma Centre for Learning, here in Bengaluru, with the students S&J*. And we were just given this beautiful card drawn by students – welcoming us and saying thank you.
Parikrma Humanity Foundation is an education foundation and education NGO that runs 4 learning centres for children from low-income groups across Bengaluru. They also run a junior college for 11th and 12th grades. Once they graduate, they are placed in colleges and supported to complete their higher studies until they find a job – completing the cycle of poverty.
This particular NGO education center in Nandini Layout receives 330 children daily who are fed three meals (including a snack before they go home), and taught by some amazing teachers. We were there for nearly 2 hours walking through the corridors, climbing the floors and glancing into lively classrooms. The campus is spotless, and shining, raising the bar for education foundation standards!
I found everyone smiling at the education NGO. Everyone. And, you know when a smile is real! There were no formal gestures by teachers towards me. I was a fly on the wall, walking through with one of their colleagues learning about this beautiful space they’ve created. What a perfect education foundation!
And then, we saw this. Terrace – the library of an education foundation. This was the halt. I just stood and took in the colour of the walls of this NGO for education. I found myself thinking – wow – Atlas Mission gels in perfectly with this education NGO- kids from all over the world are creating as colourful and vibrant designs over the app. I stood there thinking how kids are going to feel just at home playing and having fun with the app and creating their own magic, and who knows, maybe even learn to be more creative than they are along the way.
The Learning Yogi Foundation, our education foundation, has opened up a sponsorship program to enable free access to the Atlas Mission program, the way we have partnered up with Parikrma. The program is listing partners such as the incredible Parikrma Foundation across the country! Parikrma was one of the five partners we onboarded this March.
Is education enough to be a leader? With millions of children around the world struggling in the same job market, it’s the leadership skills that they bring to the table that set them apart from the rest.
We are enabling an ecosystem where every child actually has equal opportunities in this world, a platform where every child is equipped with the necessary skills to take responsibility and end the cycle of poverty, once and for all.
